As consumers we have become obsessed with data about ourselves – even when it’s not interesting/ one hundred years ago the idea that you could count your steps on a walk would have had people laughing at you. It’s useful if you’re an athlete, but otherwise 10,00 steps is an absurd abstraction that’s fuelling narcissism

The uprising will be impossible to suppress

Now they’re older, richer, less crazy. Their home has also changed mostly for the worse, it’s more connected, more disturbed, less governed by the forces of nature alone, more prone to outside influence and the curse of globalisation
