Optimism

We were outlaws running from nobody
Too far to reach
Hang on to every minute
You can’t escape some feelings. You just have to lock them up and let them out once in a while so you don’t go mad
Young men and women, athetic and wholesome with a confidence I could not relate to and was resentful of. They seemed to know where they were going in a world that was made just for them
But I ain’t got no speakers, ain’t got no headphones; Ain’t got no records to play
If you don’t think your older music sounds dated, you’re standing still.
Nothing here ever lasts
My tears of love are a waste of time
